"960px Grid Tutorial"

It’s pretty useful yet easy to figure out how to use.  But most of all it eliminates you having to bring up calculator, pen and/or paper to figure out how your columns are going to be set up  

The template has guide for a three column 20px gutter design. They then have layers of light blocked out colors to help establish both column for using the rule of thirds, and additionally it is broken down into six columns of 20px gutters. You can now flesh out your design on top of the shades thus helping you keep a consistent grid and make placement of elements easier.

I think for the most part that the website started out with a “decent” idea, but as you go from case to case, you almost have to ask yourself, is this really asking for forgiveness using the internet, or is someone just making fake events and looking to evoke others reactions.  Some of the things I’ve read so far are just so overwhelming, I can’t imagine someone just divulging the information, even if it is to ask forgiveness in a website full of peers.

"Caden’s First Tooth"

OK, I know what you’re probably saying: if you either A) don’t have any kids or B) have a few already then a child getting a tooth is no big deal. But for me, Caden being my first and only child (so far) this is huge!

It’s funny how time flies. This time last year I was a soon-to-be parent with no clue as to what was on the horizon. Porsha and I were just feeling things out really… getting packed for the hospital stay, stocking up on diapers and wipes. Now, Caden is about a year old, he’s trying to walk/crawl/scoot around and he’s starting to grow up.

Mind you, a few people have already asked when they can babysit. We’ve been putting that off for the longest because we always said that we were waiting for him to be old enough. Looks like that day is here.  Oddly enough, in retrospect, I don’t think it has anything to do with Caden’s age at all… we just don’t want to miss moments like these.  He’s growing up so fast!
